Discovery

Discovery serves as your central hub for understanding how AI Applications are being used within your organization, helping you optimize and secure these apps and usage.

Discovery addresses the critical need for AI visibility by providing a source of truth for AI applications in your environment, serving as an encyclopedia of knowledge about these applications, enabling you to identify what's new in AI usage, and highlighting risks that may require immediate action.

Discovery consists of two main components: Discovered Apps, and App Catalog.

Shows AI Applications that have been detected in your environment, including usage data, user counts, and risk information for the applications your employees are actively using.

WitnessAI's comprehensive database of AI applications, including those not yet used in your environment. This serves as your complete reference for AI applications and enables proactive security decisions.

Discovery enables you to understand which AI applications are present in your environment and access detailed information about these applications to assess risk and security posture. You can identify the most commonly used AI applications and see who is using them. The system automatically detects new AI applications and provides tools to quickly allow or block access to these applications.

The Discovery interface provides a searchable catalog for browsing AI applications, including those not currently used in your enterprise.

You can track geographic distribution of AI application usage, particularly important for identifying interactions with countries of concern. The system also categorizes AI applications by type and data criticality classification to help understand usage patterns across your organization.

Discovery supports differentiation between personal and business AI application usage and enables searching for specific users to see which AI applications they access.

Navigate to Discovery (1) from the main WitnessAI menu. On the Discovered Apps tab (2) you can review applications currently in use and take action on new or risky applications.

Next change to the App Catalog tab (3) to review and manage AI Applications with all the powerful features of WitnessAI.
